🇸🇪 MySwedish fluency bits #42, Att hamna mellan stolarna
A publication of Swedish expressions that help you get fluent faster
Hello beautiful reader ❤️. This is another chapter of our brand new series — Swedish fluency bits. This is a series of short lessons based on native expression. I hope you will like it!
Att hamna mellan stolarna
An English equivalent would is: ”To be outside of everyone’s responsibility”.
A word-for-word translation would be: “To end up between the chairs”.
Note: This means when an errand is between two people that in the end it becomes forgotten by both because nobody takes care of it.
Ingen har svarat på min förfrågan i veckor nu. Jag antar att det har hamnat mellan stolarna. — Nobody has responded to my request for weeks now. I guess it’s outside of everyone’s responsibility.
To get the most of this lesson ✅ write down the expression three times and use it in a sentence. Combe back tomorrow and make sure that you remember the expression
🇸🇪 That is all for today. See you in the next lesson! 🇸🇪
