An English equivalent would is: ”To act as if nothing has happened, to act unaffected”.
A word-for-word translation would be: “To pretend that it is raining”.
Han förlorade mycket pengar på lotteriet, men han låtsas som att det regnar. — He lost a lot of money at the lottery, but he acts as if nothing happened.
